Tattoos... Ideas for plus my fav quotes...

Tattoos are becoming more and more mainstream and as I see the beauty of the artwork out their I yearn more and more for my own tattoo...

Unfortunately lack of money and difficulty deciding who should do my tattoo is making me play the waiting game... the good thing about waiting is that I'm doing rough sketches of what I want done. Most of witch involves a picture with a quote from a favorite author in it. But that leaves me with another issue... narrowing down my favorite quotes to what will fit in a tattoo (I have on favorite that is to long ""How can anyone be afraid of love?"
"How can they not?" His face was completely aghast. "When you love someone... truly love them, friend or lover, you lay your heart open to them. You give them a part of yourself that you give to no one else, and you let them inside a part of you that only they can hurt—you literally hand them the razor with a map of where to cut deepest and most painfully on your heart and soul. And when they do strike, it's crippling—like having your heart carved out. It leaves you naked and exposed, wondering what you did to make them want to hurt you so badly when all you did was love them. What is so wrong with you that no one can keep faith with you? That no one can love you? To have it happen once is bad enough... but to have it repeated? Who in their right mind would not be terrified of that?”
― Sherrilyn Kenyon, Devil May Cry
... (I don't think its possible to include in the type of tattoos I want) and I have to figure what is appropriate for the spot I put it in.

I had it figured out a few months ago but forgot to write down a copy of location ideas so now I'm rehashing the same thing (stupid me!).

So far I got...

chest piece- tattoo is a open book surrounded by the flowers of my "hat tree" (its actually a bush but its called hat tree cause the flowers look like Chinese hats) with the quote by Sherrilyn Kenyon-  "We have three kinds of family. Those we are born to, those who are born to us, and those we let into our hearts."- Simmi (in the book pages).

Back of neck piece is going to be the symbol for the book Acheron by Sherrilyn Kenyon

, I don't know if I will include a quote for it since its on my back having a quote their that I can't read seems like a dumb idea... but then again if i do put one their then one of the ones from that book would be appropriate and it would open up a wrist tattoo spot for a different quote...hummmmmm???? Actually since the symbol looks like a sun then the quote
“It's not fair to show someone the sun and then banish him from it. Even the devil may cry when he looks around hell and realizes that he's there alone. -Acheron”― Sherrilyn Kenyon, Devil May Cry   might be a perfect match... I have to think about it more.

wrist pieces- I want wrist cuffs tattooed on with a heart lock on one of each cuff and inside the wrist cuff would be the quotes- "Sometimes things have to go wrong in order to go right."- Sherrilyn Kenyon, Acheron (tattoo location left wrist) and "Just because you can doesn't mean you should."- Sherrilyn Kenyon, Acheron  (tattoo location right wrist)

foot pieces-  I'm thinking of a tree frog trying to carry the key to my heart locks on one of my feet but not sure witch and I'm thinking of doing this quote on the other foot (actually more like back of the leg)- "Life isn't finding shelter in the storm. It's about learning to dance in the rain." - Sherrilyn Kenyon, Acheron... with an image from dancing in the rain simular to this...
with the lamp post running up the back of my leg where the line for stockings would line up.

Quotes I like but am not sure of if they will be included since I think I only have room for one or two more after getting the pieces mentioned...

“It's not fair to show someone the sun and then banish him from it. Even the devil may cry when he looks around hell and realizes that he's there alone. -Acheron”― Sherrilyn Kenyon, Devil May Cry

"I don't suffer from my insanity... I enjoy every minute of it."- Sherrilyn Kenyon, Dance With The Devil

"Lead me not into temptation, I can find the way myself." - Rita Mae Brown

"Those who are easily shocked should be shocked more often." - Mae West

"If you obey all the rules, you miss all the fun." - Katherine Hepburn

"I was never the girl next door." - Bettie Page

As for other images I want for tattoos... tiger on my back surrounded by books. (books possibly having the name of my favorite authors on the binding) and the wonder woman symbol (probably on my upper arm)...

  1. The first and last logo make me think about the movie called Hunger Game and Transforms, those two are all my favorite!
